Follow the map from your phone and use this guide as a quick reference to know what to look for and where to take breaks along the route.

Before you start: how to use CityBike

To do this route, you’ll need to use CityBike, Miraflores’ public bike-sharing system. Download the app, create an account, add a credit or debit card and choose a pass. We recommend checking the daily pass if you plan to complete the full route.

At each station, you’ll need to enter a code to pick up or return the bike. Keep in mind that passes usually include segments of up to 30 minutes. To avoid extra charges, return the bike at a CityBike station and pick up another one if you need to continue. CityBike stations are available within Miraflores.

1

Leave Pariwana Lima toward Kennedy Park

Start at Pariwana Hostel Lima, cross toward Kennedy Park and identify the signposted bike-friendly area. From here, you can find a CityBike station and pick up your bike.

2

Take Av. José Pardo toward the ocean

From the left side of the park, take Av. José Pardo toward the ocean. Always use the central bike lane and ride calmly, respecting traffic lights and crossings.

3

Turn onto Av. Comandante Espinar

Halfway along Av. Pardo, turn right onto Av. Comandante Espinar. This section connects you with a more residential area of Miraflores and brings you closer to the next reference station.

4

Continue toward Calle Torre Tagle and Plazuela Piura

Then turn left onto Calle Torre Tagle until you reach Plazuela Piura, where you’ll find a CityBike spot. This can be a good moment to check how long you’ve been using the bike.

5

Head toward Malecón de la Marina

Continue along Calle Torre Tagle until you reach Av. José Pardo again, then head toward Malecón de la Marina. From here, one of the most scenic parts of the ride begins.

6

Visit Parque María Reiche

When you reach the malecón, continue to the right to visit Parque María Reiche. It’s a good place to rest for a few minutes and enjoy the ocean view.

7

Ride along Malecón Cisneros

Follow the route along Malecón Cisneros and visit Miraflores Chinese Park, the Marina Lighthouse and Love Park. This is one of the most photogenic areas of the route, so it’s worth making a few stops.

8

Take a break at Parque Mariano Necochea

Take a break at Parque Mariano Necochea, where you’ll also find a CityBike spot. If you’re close to the time limit of your pass, return the bike and pick up another one before continuing.

9

Continue toward Larcomar

Continue along Malecón de la Reserva until you reach Larcomar. This is another good place to take photos, see the Miraflores cliffs and make a short stop.

10

Return along Av. Larco toward Kennedy Park

Finally, take Av. Larco back. Always use the bike lane until you reach the main entrance of Kennedy Park, return the bike at the corresponding station and cross the street to get back to Pariwana Hostel Lima.

Tips before you go

Bring water, sunscreen and a light jacket if you do the route in the afternoon. Before starting, check that the bike’s brakes work, the seat is properly adjusted and the tires are in good condition.

Safety

Always use the bike lanes, respect traffic lights and pedestrian crossings, and avoid looking at your phone while riding. If you need to check the map, stop in a safe place before continuing. In areas with more traffic, slow down and stay alert to cars, pedestrians and other cyclists.
